Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) is inviting qualified and passionate volunteers to provide youth-friendly counseling services at the Kitwe Youth Hub.
As part of our commitment to promoting the mental health and well-being of young people, we are seeking professional counselors who are willing to volunteer at the Kitwe Youth Hub to provide counseling support to adolescents and youth. The Hub serves as a safe and supportive space for young people to access information, mentorship, skills development, and health and wellbeing services.
Scope of Support
The selected counselors will support the Youth Hub by:
- Providing individual counseling sessions for young people.
- Facilitating group counseling or psychosocial support sessions where necessary.
- Supporting young people facing challenges related to mental health, relationships, academic pressure, sexual and reproductive health, and personal development.
- Providing referrals to specialized services when required.
- Upholding strict confidentiality, safeguarding, and youth-friendly service standards.
Working Schedule
The counselors will provide services at the Youth Hub two days per week: Wednesday and Friday.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A qualification in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Registration with a relevant professional body.
- Experience working with adolescents and young people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
- Commitment to ethical counseling practices and safeguarding young people
