Dr. Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma is the CEO and Co-Founder of Copper Rose Zambia.

Dr. Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma is the CEO and Co-Founder of Copper Rose Zambia (CRXZ. A global reproductive health champion, medical doctor, and epidemiologist, Dr. Kaoma leads a dynamic interdisciplinary team of young professionals tackling complex health challenges in alignment with CRZ’s mission and vision. She is responsible for setting CRZ’s strategic direction, providing guidance, and ensuring operational efficiency across the organisation’s activities. Dr. Kaoma works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, governments, partner nonprofits, INGOs, and communities, to foster alignment, coordination, accountability, and collaboration across diverse geographies. She has also contributed to numerous global health programs and has shared platforms with influential leaders such as Melinda French Gates and members of the British Royal Family. Prior to co-founding CRZ, Dr. Kaoma served as a senior resident medical doctor with Zambia’s Ministry of Health at the University Teaching Hospital. Dr. Kaoma has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Queen’s Young Leaders Award at Buckingham Palace, the Zambian Women of the Year Award for Healthcare Champion, 120 Under 40: New Generation of Family Planning Leaders Champion, and a 2019 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship. She holds a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (BSc Human Biology) from the University of Zambia. Outside of work, Dr. Kaoma enjoys long walks, traveling, photography, reading, cooking dishes inspired by her travels, and unwinding with Korean dramas.

Faith Kaoma Kabeleka is a visionary leader dedicated to empowering communities and driving sustainable development. As the Co-founder and Deputy CEO of Copper Rose Zambia, she provides strategic financial direction to ensure the organization’s sustainability and efficiency while spearheading impactful programs in youth development, health, and gender equity across Zambia. Beyond her leadership at Copper Rose Zambia, Faith serves on the boards of Restless Development Zambia and CARE Zambia, contributing to governance and strategic decision-making in global development. With extensive expertise in NGO management, strategic planning, and financial oversight, Faith is a recognized changemaker, championing innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth as she inspires her team to achieve excellence in every endeavor.

Dr. Mulenga Chituma is a passionate medical doctor with over seven years of experience in both clinical practice and program management. He has held various roles, including District Project Coordinator, Provincial Technical Coordinator for both Southern and Lusaka Provinces, and Acting Deputy Chief of Party for the CDC-funded EpiC 3-90 Project at Catholic Relief Services. Most recently, he served as Program Manager for the USAID-funded Action to HIV Epidemic Control Project in Luapula Province. Currently, as the Director of Health Programs at Copper Rose Zambia, Dr. Chituma oversees the planning, management, and implementation of health and well-being initiatives. Dr. Chituma earned his medical degree from the University of Zambia and holds an MBA in Leadership and Management from the Copperbelt University. He completed a Fellowship in Palliative Care from the Institute of Palliative Care and is pursuing an MSc in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a Commonwealth Scholar. His professional focus is on public health interventions, particularly HIV-related research and programming. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Chituma enjoys following tennis, Formula 1, and football. In his leisure time, he engages in reading novels, playing FIFA, and participating in tennis matches.

Holding an MBA in Finance and a BA in Applied Accounting, coupled with CA Professional qualifications, Doris possesses a deep understanding of financial strategies and regulatory compliance. With a strong track record in managing USAID-funded projects, Doris excels in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and policy development. She is adept at navigating complex financial landscapes and ensuring organisational financial health. Beyond her technical expertise, Doris is a skilled leader who inspires and motivates teams to achieve exceptional results. In her free time, Doris enjoys exploring her passions for music, movies, fashion, and spending quality time with her family. Recently, she has developed a newfound interest in reading.

In her current role, Sabine is responsible for program planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder management. Sabine holds an MSc in Business and Development Studies. She is particularly dedicated to advancing sustainable development through strategic partnerships and resource optimization. When she’s not working, Sabine enjoys travelling—having visited 57 countries so far—staying active and exploring new cuisines. She also values spending quality time with friends and family.

Miyoba Beenzu holds a Master of science in public health and is particularly dedicated to promoting youth development and improving health outcomes of young people. In her free time, she loves to practise yoga. Yoga helps her maintain mental clarity and physical well-being.

Vake Mtonga is a medical doctor with experience in advancing adolescent health and promoting gender equality in reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health service provision. He is a certified trainer in adolescent health and has received more training in HIV/AIDS and TB management in adults and children. Currently, his responsibilities include offering strategic and technical support in project implementation, design, monitoring, and evaluation and building relationships with other stakeholders and implementing partners. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and is enthusiastic about promoting public health, especially among adolescents and young people. He reads various personal development books and personal branding videos in his free time.

Dr. Newton Donkola, MD, is a dedicated public health advocate, with a strong focus on improving the health and well-being of adolescents. He leads projects aimed at enhancing access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, HIV/AIDS awareness, and prevention among adolescents and young people. His work also emphasises advocating for policies that improve the availability of SRH services for youth. A Cuban-trained physician, Dr. Donkola is passionate about developing youth-centred, contextualised solutions that address the specific health needs of young people in Zambia. His role at CRZ includes overseeing several initiatives, combining clinical expertise with community-based strategies, ensuring that young people’s voices are central to health interventions and policy development. A believer in the power of collaboration, Dr. Donkola works closely with other stakeholders to create practical, scalable solutions to improve adolescent health outcomes. He is committed to creating an environment where youth are not only recipients of public health programs but active participants in shaping the policies and services that affect their lives.

Mable Kipenda is a medical doctor and a public health specialist with over 7 years of experience in clinical medicine, adolescent and youth health, and gender mainstreaming. Her work includes providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health on adolescent and youth health and gender in health programming at national and subnational levels. Mable is a 2019 Mandela Washington fellow, who studied Public Management at Virginia Tech in Alexandria, Virginia USA. She is also a 2020/2021 Chevening Alumni and studied MSc. Public health at the University of Bristol, UK. Her passion lies in creating an enabling environment for young people’s health. Currently, her responsibilities are supporting strategic program planning, design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with program quality and influencing approach. Miyoba Beenzu holds a Master of science in public health and is particularly dedicated to promoting youth development and improving health outcomes of young people. Nedah Chikonde Musonda is a seasoned public health specialist with over 14 years of experience in public service. Over the past five years she has been dedicated to advancing healthcare, particularly in adolescent and youth health. She holds a diploma in registered nursing, a Bachelor's degree in nursing with a specialty in community health, and a master’s degree in public health (epidemiology). Currently, Nedah is offering capacity and technical support services within and outside CRZ in line with the inclusion of adolescents and young people as well as advocating for gender equity and inclusion in health. Additionally, she has been a Youth Care Champion since 2022 and sits on the Health Advisory Panel for Pediatric and Adolescent Treatment Africa (PATA). Her expertise has been instrumental in developing key national documents, including the Adolescent Health Strategic Plan, the Peer Educator's Manual, and the Healthcare Manuals. Beyond her professional endeavours, Nedah enjoys spending time in nature, tending to her plants, and exploring new places. She is also passionate about spirituality, cooking, good music, and family.

She has contributed to programs that improve access to education and healthcare, empower youth, and promote gender equity through impactful collaboration and capacity building across East and Southern Africa. In addition to her professional pursuits, Rebecca is committed to initiatives that address critical healthcare gaps in remote communities, particularly focusing on HIV and sexual reproductive health for adolescent girls and young women. Outside work, she enjoys travelling, reading, cooking new recipes and cuisines, and occasionally crocheting.

Dr. Cheswa Vwalika is a passionate public health expert with over 30 years of experience in enhancing healthcare access and quality in Zambia. She currently serves as the President of the Medical Women’s Association of Zambia (MWAZ) and co-manages Venus Center, a private healthcare facility in Lusaka, Zambia, offering comprehensive medical and mental health services tailored to the needs of women and girls. Additionally, Dr. Vwalika leads New Beginnings center, a rehabilitation center in Lusaka supporting individuals with drug addiction recovery by providing essential coping skills and hope for a healthier future. Throughout her career, Dr. Vwalika has held influential roles across public and private sectors, contributing significantly to government hospitals, rural health clinics, and non-governmental organizations. She has worked for organizations such as the World Health Organization and UNICEF to implement critical programs, including initiatives targeting the prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission. Dr Vwalika also served as Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Sexual and Reproductive Health for All Initiative implemented by Society for Family Health Zambia were she led impactful projects addressing reproductive health needs across Zambia. Dr. Vwalika holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama in Birmigham and a medical degree from China Medical university). Beyond her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and farming. Her dedication to supporting underserved communities, particularly vulnerable women and adolescents, reflects her lifelong commitment to improving health outcomes in Zambia.

He oversees the development and implementation of human resources policies and programs that align with USAID’s mission from managing recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives to attract and retain top talent in close collaboration with regional HR teams. Prior to joining USAID Zambia, Kamuchizya held various HR leadership roles in both development and private sector organizasions across Africa, where he led talent acquisition portfolios, developed and implemented HR strategies, and managed complex projects for large and complex organizations. He is passionate about creating skill-driven organizations and leveraging human-AI collaboration to enhance business processes, people experience, organisation culture and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

Nick Mwela is a seasoned finance professional with over 14 years of experience in the international non-governmental organisation sector. He currently serves as Finance Manager at Orbis International, where he oversees the organisation’s accounting systems, internal controls, and compliance with donor regulations, while also leading the budgeting processes. Nick is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Teaching Methodology from Copperbelt University in Zambia. Nick is dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in financial operations. Nick serves as a Board Member at Copper Rose Zambia, where he chairs the Finance and Risk Committee. In this role, he ensures the organization adheres to sound financial practices and regulatory compliance, identifies potential risks, and develops strategies for mitigation. Nick also leads the budgeting process to allocate resources effectively in support of the organization's mission. Additionally, he assists in formulating and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. By mentoring staff in financial management and risk assessment, he strengthens the organization’s internal capabilities and resilience In his free time, Nick enjoys playing football, exploring new cultures through travel, and volunteering in commurnity development initiatives. He also finds joy in reading, mentoring, and coaching upcoming finance professionals.

Nanthalile Mugala is PATH’s Chief of the Africa Region. She is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance and overseeing program activities in the region- across 13 countries (both francophone and anglophone) and with over 700 staff and a diverse portfolio that includes data and digital transformation; malaria; HIV; primary health care; advocacy and public policy; vaccine manufacturing, introduction and scale; climate and health; maternal newborn and child health and many other disciplines in line with PATH’s mission of advancing health equity through partnerships and innovation. Dr. Mugala is a seasoned leader and public health expert with more than 30 years of experience leading and implementing health programs and services and she has contributed to research that has resulted in key policy and strategy change. Prior to joining PATH, Dr Mugala worked in various senior management and leadership roles within the public health sector rising to the position of consultant pediatrician at the University teaching hospital. She also served as president of the National Pediatric Association between 2011 to 2014 and as vice president for 4 years. Dr. Mugala is a member of various national and international technical and advisory committees and boards. She is a recipient of the Zambia Pediatric Association’s Child Environmental Health Award, the Washington Global Health Alliance’s 2021 Global Health Impact Awards (Luminary Leader Finalist) for demonstrating exceptional leadership and a relentless commitment to the global health community, and the International Medical Women’s Near East and Africa Region Award for Research and Innovation. Dr. Mugala holds Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and Master of Medicine degrees from the University of Zambia. She also has a Certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium In her free time, Dr. Mugala enjoys reading and gardening.

He is an active member on various boards in Zambia, where he provides strategic leadership to initiatives that drive substantial revenue growth and create meaningful market impact.
