Partnership Sealed: CRZ & YWCA to Restore Safe Houses for GBV Survivors

Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) and the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen critical protection services for young survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
This crucial partnership was launched in March with the ambitious goal of raising ZMW 250,000 (approx. $10,500) to fully renovate and restore two Safe Houses in Lusaka as part of CRZ’s 10th Anniversary celebration plans.

The objective is to ensure these facilities are secure, habitable, and nurturing environments where young girls can heal, receive support, and confidently rebuild their lives with dignity. The primary fundraising event for this cause will be the CRZ 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, scheduled for Friday, 5th December 2025, at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Lusaka. This event will not only celebrate a decade of CRZ’s impact but will primarily mobilise essential support for SGBV survivors.

CRZ invites partners, corporations, and philanthropists to join this vital campaign; every single contribution directly helps transform these houses into homes of hope. Sponsorship packages range from K15,000 ($750) to K35,000 ($1,750).
