When African organizations lead with local solutions, development moves from short-term aid to lasting impact. That vision took center stage in Nairobi, Kenya, as over 700 organizational leaders, funders, social innovators, and policymakers gathered for Segal 2026: The Next Beat, a global convening focused on reshaping philanthropy through trust, locally led leadership, and genuine, long-term partnerships. 

Representing Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) on this global stage were our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), Faith Kaoma Kabeleka. Together with regional peers and partners, they joined vital conversations exploring how African-led organizations can continue driving sustainable development directly from the communities they serve. 

The insights gained in Nairobi directly mirror CRZ’s daily work on the ground, proving that when you trust local leaders with resources and decision-making power, whole communities thrive.
